In Verucchio, there are important finds and an extremely interesting museum dedicated to the Villanovan civilisation. The Malatesta family have left behind many beautiful castles throughout the Seignory. There is one in Rimini old town centre and others on many of the hillsides that stretch across the hinterland from Cesena to Fano. In Rimini, visitors will also find the Malatesta Temple, which was built by Leon Battista Alberti and houses work by Giotto, Agostino di Duccio and Piero della Francesca amongst others.
